California grizzly Bear

Prime Minister John Howard received many gifts during official overseas trips and from visitors to Australia. The Howard Library holds the complete inventory of these gifts. This bronze California Grizzly Bear was given by Arnold Schwarzenegger, Governor of California, in 2004. This animal appears on the State flag and has been extinct since 1922.
